TIPS FOR RUNNING A SUCCESSFUL AT HOME BUSINESS

Have you ever thought about working form home? As a stay at home mom I can say It is the best. I get to be with my children every day and watch them grow. I don't have to worry about them getting sick at the babysitters, or having someone else raise them. And best of all, I make money each month.

If you are thinking of starting a home business, make sure you choose something you are passionate about, something that you can be proud to represent, and something that you yourself use. You can't try to sell something and succeed if you don't believe in it.
Do your research on the company before you start with them, if it is in Direct selling. How long has the company been around, pros and cons to the product they offer, pros and cons to compensation plan. Who are the owners of company, what is their back ground? Is it a start up company? What countries are they in? Make sure there are no hidden agendas, anywhere. How many consultants or distributors are in your area? Do you have to be on autoship each month, can you afford it, do you get it FREE?  Most of all make sure you stick to your companies training plan. It is there for a reason. What ever you do, don't just jump into a business you know nothing about. Chances are you won't succeed. Try not to jump from business to business, you will start to lose credibility when you do this.
If you are creating your business, make sure you know all laws and have all licenses you need to operate your business.

There are lots of tax benefits to owning a home based business. Make sure your accountant knows all the write offs associated. Make sure you keep good records and keep receipts of EVERYTHING pertaining to your business, this will be extremely helpful come tax time.

Be professional when operating your business. Remember your customer is the reason you succeed.
Set a goal each month and try to reach it. Don't get discouraged when things aren't going your way, it happens. Just be patient, every business goes through ups and downs. It's how you handle it, that will be the difference in failure and success.

Advertise, network, and talk to anyone and everyone about your business. You have to get out of your rut and circle of friends. They more people you expose to your business, the better it is for you. Exposure is everything!!

Good Luck to you in whatever you do, be sure to surround yourself with positive and motivating people!!!
